Situated in picturesque Ohakune, at the foot of Mount Ruapehu, Ossies offers ideal accommodation year round. Ossies recieved the "Best In District (Ohakune) 2013" award and "Best in Region 2015" in the Travelbug Awards.

Ohakune is on the doorstep of the world heritage Tongariro National Park, and is 20 minutes drive from the Turoa Skifields.

Make the most Ossies summer discounted rates and come to Ohakune to enjoy some of the most beautiful walking tracks in the country, including the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and the Old Coach Road. There are a number of amazing cycle tracks to enjoy and for those less active, plenty of rivers to fish.

All units at Ossies are fully self contained, self catering and have upstairs sleeping. They have drying rooms for damp ski gear and are cosy and well heated.

Our midweek winter specials are designed to entice couples to the slopes Sunday to Thursday. Avoid the queues and come and stay with us for 5 nights for a total of $480.

Our 5 bedroom chalets are HUGE, sleeping up to 13 people - ideal for work and family trips away. There is a wood burner in the lounge and loads of space for everyone.

There is plenty of off street parking at Ossies and as well, Ossies has its own ski and board rental and is the home of telemark skiing in New Zealand.

Excellent ski hire. Cosy units. Ours was a bit high with the smell of varnish but was very warm. We did get charged twice our accommodation costs initially with the office girl adamant that we had not paid. That was annoying but we got our money back over the course of 2 days. We would stay there again.

We enjoyed our long summer weekend! nice and clean. Everything you need is there. Must do's are the forest walk on the ohakune mountain road (the whole 1.5 hours) and the waitonga falls! many thanks! .

The only down side of this motel was not enough hot water was not working chalet 6, lucky for us that some of us was stay in chalet 7, so we able to have showers, but on our second night, the hot water in chalet 7 was not enough so only 2 had shower. Other than hot water, it was good. .
