Located on the doorstep of Tongariro National Park and Whanganui National Park, Raetihi is bursting with Maori and European history, the town has a Museum as well as the southern hemispheres oldest Theatre and its streets are wide enough to turn a team of bullocks carting logs!

Snowy Waters Lodge itself once played an important part of the community as Nurses Accommodation for the Waimarino Hospital (1922 ? 2009).

Nowadays the Lodge and adjoining Villa along with The Snowy Train, kids playground, giant Connect 4 and our conservation goat make Snowy Waters Lodge the perfect choice for family reunions.

Our landscaped grounds and magnificent views of Mt Ruapehu provide a beautiful setting for weddings, and our ability to accommodate up to 40 people under one roof makes an ideal venue for school groups, sports teams and social club functions.
