Great little cottage - very private and peaceful with friendly hosts. Great spot for fishing being right on the tongariro river and centrally situated for all the must-dos in the area. Most enjoyable. .

A great place to relax in tranquil setting surrounded by trees and greenery. We enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden, and also stting with refreshments on the sun-deck. Our en-suite double room was comfortable but very small, and quite dark with surrounding trees, but in the evening we were able to relax in the spacious lounge where we played snooker/pool and watched TV. The kitchen/dining area is also large and well-equipped. The town centre shops and supermarket are about 10 mins walk away, but it seems longer carrying heavy groceries (I should have taken the car!). The Tongariro River can be reached on a path directly from the lodge, just a couple of minutes stroll away. We did a circular riverside walk which took about an hour.
